At C.T. Sewell Elementary School, we recognize the importance of involving our entire school community in creating a model for student success.
This Empowerment model allows the staff to help make decisions on curriculum, staffing, resources and program implementation. Our staff is empowered to do what they know is best for students and is our guiding principle.
We are a highly collaborative school team and value the input and strengths of all staff. Teachers plan together and seek opportunities to learn from one another, strengthening their own practice and enhancing their instructional delivery.
The collaborative culture is also reflected in the classroom, in which students are actively engaged and participate in cooperative learning opportunities. The focus on collaboration has created buy-in across our school community, resulting in increased student achievement and success!
