The character programs, incorporating The 7 Habits of Happy Kids along with the Tools for Citizenship, are paramount in creating an optimal environment for students to learn and lead. The leadership framework is built on the 3 Cs philosophy: The development of positive Character, strong Citizenship through service-learning at each grade level, and the acquisition of 21st-century Communication skills via technology innovation.
Students set weekly academic and leadership goals and discuss progress with their accountability partner. High expectations for academic and leadership achievement challenge each child to find his or her unique path in a global society. All staff, students, families and community partners are dedicated to developing the leader within each child.
This strong commitment to leadership implementation is instrumental in fostering an environment in which all students demonstrate growth, thereby allowing us to close the achievement gap.
